WHO WE ARE:

Heritage Park is Canada’s largest living history museum and offers visitors a chance to experience life in Western Canada from the 1860s to the early 1950s. The Park features historical buildings, costumed interpreters, working antiques, and various exhibits that provide insight into the region’s past.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in a food services or customer-service role would be an asset
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Attention to detail to accurately take orders and fulfil guest requests
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Ability to work independently as well as a team
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication skills in a client-faced setting
  • All successful candidates (over the age of 18) will be required to go through a Police Information Check as a condition of employment
Responsibilities

Concession Operation

  • Opens and closes the outlets according to standard procedures
  • Accurately takes and fills customer food and beverage orders to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Process payments accurately and efficiently using POS systems
  • Handles monetary transactions in accordance with accounting procedures as well as counts and reports daily sales
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of the concession area, adhering to Alberta Health Services (AHS) standards to ensure a safe and hygienic environment
  • Prepares food, cleans utensils and equipment, reports equipment malfunctions and follows Alberta Health Services (AHS) standards and AGLC guidelines
  • Assists in managing product and supplies requisitioning to maintain optimal stock levels
  • Provide an exceptional visitor experience through friendly and courteous interactions with guests, staff, and volunteers, using polite greetings, actively acknowledging guests, and handling situations positively
  • Create a welcoming atmosphere for visitors with a customer-focused approach, providing courteous and friendly answers to inquiries and valuable information to enhance the overall visitor experience
  • Perform other duties as required
