JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under the direction of the Concierge Supervisor, you will be supervising and performing duties encompassing hosting, housekeeping, laundry and the security and well-being of the Residents within established guidelines and procedures assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Two years recent related experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Serving it Right.

SKILLS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Mentally and physically able to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
  • Able to plan, organize and direct people and functions.
  • Must be tactful, friendly and extremely patient when dealing with residents. Must be courteous and friendly to visitors and work in a cooperative manner with fellow workers.

Position Type:

  • Part-time position consisting of 8-hour shifts, scheduled 3 days per week.

Hourly Wage: $21.27

Responsibilities
  • Set an example for staff in conduct, grooming, and appearance.
  • Respond to resident emergency alarms, assess situations, and call for ambulance if needed.
  • Monitor front door security, ensuring all visitors are signed in as required.
  • Answer phones, book guest meals, schedule in-house appointments, and record incidents.
  • Foster a positive, friendly atmosphere through professional communication with residents.
  • Set up and participate in activities planned by the Activity Director.
  • Maintain building security through alarm systems and regular security checks.
  • Perform assigned cleaning and laundry duties, report equipment issues to Maintenance.
  • Respond to resident requests, assess problems, and perform minor maintenance (e.g., unplug toilets, reset breakers).
  • Reports damaged or inoperable equipment, furniture and fixtures to the Maintenance department.
  • Assist with new employee orientation and perform other related duties as assigned.
