Description Seaboard is a historic 11-story mixed use building on Westlake Park in the heart of downtown Seattle. It is a block from the Westlake Link Light Rail Station and in the heart of the financial district. The building has 24 residences on floors 7 through 11, five commercial floors, and a ground floor. As the concierge, you are the eyes and ears of the building. Your ability to take ownership and pride in its appearance and how well the residents and tenants are served, is the primary focus. The concierge is responsible for maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, supporting the needs of tenants and residents, and promoting building security for the safety of both the residents and tenants. The concierge desk is staffed from 7 am to 9 pm daily. A Day in the Life Maintains a clean, welcoming environment Keeps door glass clean and common areas free of litter. Keeps the elevator surfaces clean at all times. Sweeps the external foyer and areas surrounding the building of debris. Keeps concierge counter free of personal items. Hangs/removes protective wall pads and places floor protection when center elevator is used for freight and moving. Performs daily walks of all common areas on all floors, identifying issues and either correctly the issue or appropriately reporting it for repair. Takes safety and security seriously Keeps a watchful eye on the entry to building and elevators. Ensures only residents, unit owners, employees, vetted guests, management, custodians, and approved contractors have access. Monitors surveillance cameras for suspicious activity. Familiar with emergency (fire, earthquake, etc) evacuation plans and with fire & emergency systems, including ability to disarm and arm fire alarm panel and interface with Seattle Fire Department regarding life-safety procedures. Participate as needed in all emergency response training/fire drills. Checks stair door locks on all floors. Welcome! Knows residents and business tenant’s names and greets them on entry/exit. Helps with elevator access, PARTICULARLY if their hands are full. Receive and deliver packages to the Tenants or to the exterior of the residence. Accepts laundry and other items for pick-up and delivery. Maintains administrative records Maintains daily activity logs, including the activities of Service providers or anyone other than residents, tenants, and guests. Directs residents and tenants to the appropriate resources when they have maintenance or building related issues. Clearly communicates issues/items with the team. Catalogues maintenance needs and reports to management regularly on status of maintenance work, challenges, and areas of concern. Dresses appropriately Attire is business casual which includes slacks, jackets, sweaters, skirts, dresses, profession button down shirts, Blanton Turner Polo’s and modest blouses. Shoes must be professional and closed toe. No hats are permitted. Requirements Prior Front Desk, Concierge, customer service or other hospitality experience is required. Sales background preferred. Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor with a strong, professional customer service oriented attitude. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite desired. Strong knowledge of the surrounding area and recreational, hospitality and business related information. High school diploma or equivalent.
