OVERVIEW

We are seeking a team skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in concrete finishing and possess a variety of related skills. This role involves working on diverse projects nationwide, ensuring high-quality finishes, and collaborating with other tradespeople to achieve project goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in concrete finishing or a related field is preferred.
  • Proficiency in welding techniques is advantageous.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
  • Familiarity with carpentry and masonry practices is beneficial.
  • Ability to operate commercial vehicles may be required for transporting materials to job sites.
  • Must be physically fit, capable of heavy lifting, and comfortable working in various weather conditions.
  • A valid driver’s licence is preferred for site accessibility. Responsibilities
  • Prepare and set up work areas for concrete pouring, including forming and reinforcing structures.
  • Finish surfaces of poured concrete using hand tools and power tools to achieve the desired texture and appearance.
  • Operate various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Perform heavy lifting as required during the mixing, pouring, and finishing processes.
  • Collaborate with other trades such as carpentry, masonry, and roofing to ensure seamless integration of concrete elements into broader construction projects.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
  • Conduct basic maintenance on equipment used in the finishing process.
