As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Concrete Foreman to join our team.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a Concrete Foreman at Cornerstone Construction Company, you will play a crucial role in supervising and coordinating the work of both self-performing and subcontracted concrete crews. Reporting directly to the Director of Construction, you will ensure that all concrete operations are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality and compliance. While the primary focus will be on concrete, you may also be assigned to lead non-concrete crews as needed. For this reason, knowledge of other construction trades is considered a significant added value.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
· Broader knowledge of other construction trades beyond concrete is highly valued.
· Proven track record of successfully managing commercial and residential construction projects.
· Strong understanding of public works processes and documentation.
· Understanding of curb, gutter and drainage structure forming and placement.
· Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams.
· Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety protocols.
· Knowledge of ADA compliance requirements in concrete construction.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
· OSHA 30-Hour certification preferred.
· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

· Supervise and coordinate daily activities of self-performing and contract concrete crews.
· Ensure proper elevations, grading, setting forms, reinforcement placement, and surface preparation prior to concrete pours.
· Read, interpret, and evaluate blueprints, drawings, and project specifications to ensure accuracy and adherence.
· Oversee all phases of concrete placement and finishing, including residential, commercial, and public works projects.
· Ensure compliance with ADA standards, public works requirements, and applicable building codes.
· Coordinate with suppliers to manage concrete orders, scheduling, delivery, driver coordination, and pumping logistics.
· Monitor quality, productivity, and safety on-site, conducting inspections and ensuring craftsmanship meets specifications.
· Provide training, direction, and leadership to crews, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and concrete pour documentation.
· Operate and maintain concrete-related equipment such as hand tools, power tools, small mixers, and other related machinery.
· Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and inspectors to resolve technical issues and maintain efficient workflows.
