The Concrete Foreman will lead and oversee all aspects of concrete construction projects, including the preparation, pouring, and finishing of court curbs and footers for equipment installation. This role requires hands-on supervision of the crew, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The Concrete Foreman will coordinate with project managers, monitor progress, and address challenges to meet project specifications and deadlines. Supervisory Responsibilities: * Lead and actively participate in the daily work of construction crew members. * Provides on-site leadership and guidance to ensure efficient workflow. * Enforces strict adherence to safety standards, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and company policies. Duties/Responsibilities: * Perform and supervises daily construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications. * Conducts daily safety briefings and enforces company safety policies and procedures. * Delegates tasks to crew members, monitors performance, and addresses challenges as they arise. * Inspects completed work to maintain quality standards and address any deficiencies. * Communicates effectively with the Project Manager/Superintendent and team members to report progress and resolve issues. * Manages tools, equipment, and materials on-site, ensuring proper use and security. * Maintains a clean and organized work area and vehicle. * Maintains accurate jobsite records, including daily logs, timesheets, and material usage. * Verifies that concrete forms are properly constructed. * Installs reinforcing rebar or mesh wire to strengthen concrete. * Spreads, levels, and smooths concrete using tools such as rakes, shovels, hand or power trowels, hand screeds, and floats. * Molds expansion joints and edges using edging tools, jointers, and straightedges. * Promotes a culture of safety and ensures adherence to OSHA standards and company safety protocols. * Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: * Significant experience in form work for concrete. * Significant experience in finishing concrete. * Ability to operate skid steers and mini excavators. * Proficient in understanding elevations. * Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical documents. * General understanding of construction practices. * Strong leadership and organizational skills. * Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. * Ability to enforce safety and quality standards effectively. * Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Education and Experience: * Minimum of 2 years of concrete finishing experience. * Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role in construction. * Minimum of 2 years of equipment experience with skid steers and mini excavators. * OSHA 10 certification preferred but not required. Physical Requirements: * Prolonged periods working outdoors in varying weather conditions. * Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs. for extended periods. * Travel required to various job sites.
