Description

GLO Resources is hiring a Concrete Quality Inspector to join a fast-paced precast concrete production facility in Baton Rouge, LA. The pay is between $22 - $25 per hour based on experience. This is a full-time position that works Monday–Friday, from 7 am – 3:30 pm.
Position Summary: The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail and a solid understanding of concrete production processes, particularly in precast manufacturing. This role focuses on pre-pour and post-pour inspections to ensure that products meet client specifications and industry standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and technical documents
  • Possesses an NPCA, PQS1, or PCI certification, or be willing to get one within 6 months of being hired
  • Proficient in measuring tools and basic math
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
  • Prior experience in concrete manufacturing or precast operations
  • Familiarity with NPCA, PQS1, or PCI quality standards
  • Previous experience in a quality control or inspection role

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work outdoors and in a lab as needed
  • Physically able to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires bending, stooping, crouching, and climbing on and around forms and molds
Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-pour and post-pour inspections on precast concrete products
  • Verify dimensions and tolerances using tape measures, gauges, and shop drawings
  • Ensure products comply with NPCA, PQS1, and/or PCI standards
  • Document inspection results accurately and report any non-conformances
  • Collaborate with production staff to resolve quality issues in real-time
  • Monitor curing conditions and surface finishes for quality control
  • Conduct visual and physical inspections of form setup, reinforcement, and embedded items
  • Maintain quality records and assist with internal audits as needed
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
  • Assist with training less experienced team members when needed
  • Other duties may be assigned
