KEY SKILLS, CAPABILITIES & EXPERIENCE:

  1. Minimum 5 years of underground construction experience.
  2. Strong understanding of rock mass behavior, ground control principles, and installation methods for rock support systems.
  3. Familiarity with various bolting systems and mechanical shotcrete application
  4. Demonstrated technical skills in a high-pressure, production-driven environment.
  5. Familiarity and competency in operating a wide range of underground equipment including jackleg and stoper drills, shotcrete machines, scoops, scissor decks, and booms.
  6. Commitment to health and safety in underground environments, with relevant certifications (e.g., underground supervisor ticket, First Aid).
  7. Valid driver’s license: ability to obtain site access or mine certification as required.
  8. Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and operate in outdoor or harsh environments.
  9. Shotcrete experience is a necessity.
Responsibilities

. MUST have experience applying shotcrete.
. Experience using remote shotcrete applications is an asset.
· Conduct rock bolting activities including installation of mechanical bolts, resin bolts, mesh, shotcrete, and other ground support systems.
· Work closely with your superintendent to adapt support strategies to changing ground conditions.
· Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, project specifications, and tunnel support design requirements.
· Maintain high performance, safety, and efficiency in confined underground settings.
