QUALIFICATIONS

  • Various certifications (CCIL/ACI concrete testing) as required
  • Understanding of concrete testing procedures
  • Experience with QC procedures for field and/or laboratory testing
  • Post Secondary Education in a related field is an asset
  • Must be detail orientated
  • Working on/near construction sites
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment when required
  • Experience with MTO/CSA concrete is an asset
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Ability to work long/flexible hours
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs, walk over uneven terrain, lift and transport testing equipment and samples, bend for prolonged periods of time during testing
  • Travel Required & must have a valid driver’s license
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for reviewing concrete mix designs for testing purposes
  • Responsible for providing testing for the concrete group
  • Communication with Superintendents, Contractors, Owners, Consultants, and other Ministry officials
  • Calculation of data entry of test results as required
  • Ensure prompt and accurate testing and reporting of materials
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning and calibrated
  • Responsible for evaluating the performance of available materials
