WHAT YOU’LL BRING (MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS)

  • At least 5 years of general maintenance experience, with 2+ years working in predictive maintenance (PdM).
  • Certification or hands-on experience in PdM technologies such as:
  • Vibration analysis
  • Thermography
  • Oil analysis
  • Ultrasonics
  • Weld inspection
  • Non-destructive testing
  • A solid understanding of basic math and physics to support PdM techniques.
  • Comfort using Microsoft tools like Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.

TECHNICAL SKILLS THAT SET YOU APART

To succeed in this role, you’ll need to be proficient in predictive maintenance and non-destructive testing technologies. Specifically:

  • Level 1 proficiency in at least three of the following areas, and
  • Level 2 proficiency in at least one:
  • Vibration analysis
  • Oil analysis
  • Motor circuit evaluation
  • Thermography
  • Ultrasonic emission
  • Dye penetrant
  • Magnetic particle testing
  • Ultrasonic flaw detection
  • Ultrasonic thickness testing

BONUS SKILLS

While not required, the following experience will give you an edge:

  • Familiarity with SAP and PdM software like Machinery Health Manager.
  • Training or experience in Motor Current Evaluation, Root Cause Analysis, and Failure Analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with large open-pit mining equipment, including rope shovels, hydraulic shovels, diesel drills, and electric drills.
Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Reporting to the Superintendent, Reliability Engineering, you’ll work alongside a diverse and talented team. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing plant equipment to determine its suitability for inclusion in the predictive maintenance program.
  • Building and maintaining equipment databases using specialized analysis software.
  • Setting appropriate testing intervals (monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly) based on equipment needs.
  • Creating and updating standard procedures and work instructions.
  • Documenting and initiating testing schedules in our CMMS system.
  • Collecting and analyzing machine data to identify potential issues.
  • Recommending corrective actions and initiating work notifications.
  • Summarizing findings in clear, standardized equipment health reports.
  • Performing re-tests after repairs to confirm effectiveness.
  • Supporting oil sampling routines, including collection, testing, and analysis.
  • Keeping predictive maintenance instruments calibrated and ready to use.
  • Developing and refining condition monitoring procedures.
  • Identifying recurring issues and proposing solutions to eliminate them.
  • Assisting with budget planning and cost control for the condition monitoring program.
  • Creating quality assurance programs for data collection and storage.
  • Managing key performance indicators (KPIs) for predictive maintenance.
  • Working safely in confined spaces when required.
  • Fit tested for respirator use when required
