Job Details Salary Range: Undisclosed Job Category: Underwriting Description The Condo Underwriter is responsible for accurately analyzing all condominium project documentation and assist in rendering a decision based on salability to the applicable Agency and UHM guidelines. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Research and utilize the most current guidelines for all agencies such as FNMA, FHLMC, GNMA, and RD as well as UHM guidelines when reviewing condominium documentation for approval consideration. Review Appraisals to assure they meet Agency property standards as well as condo project requirements as applicable. Maintain and update approval lists and recertification of all condominiums. Develop and maintain this department, its training and assistance across all channels of business. Monitor, respond and resolve Condo Tickets in the Condo Fresh-Desk within Department’s SLA. Maintain all required turn times. Current turn times for complete reviews on Condos are 24-48hrs. Update & Maintain Policies and Procedures with current agency changes. Qualifications EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience in a financial or analytical field. Knowledge/Experience in the review of property types, appraisal reviews and financial statements. SKILLS REQUIRED Strong attention to organization, detail and accuracy Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, including Excel and loan origination systems Demonstrate highest level of professionalism and customer service Effective interpersonal skills and technical report writing skills Experience with FHA/VA/Conventional Agency loans Shows work commitment Personal organization Adaptability and flexibility Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines Fosters teamwork Uses sound judgment Comfortable using financial/quantitative data This employer participates in E-Verify.
