Responsibilities

INFORMATION FOR THE ROLE OF CONFERENCE AND EVENTS COORDINATOR

Full time, permanent role
Salary £29,770 per annum for 36.25 hours per week
An excellent opportunity to work within a small team, at a prestigious organisation, in a varied and fulfilling role. You would be responsible for undertaking the selling and delivery of day meetings, functions, non-residential and residential events, providing a full event management service from concept to delivery.

To be considered for this interesting role, you will need to have:

  • Demonstrable experience of selling and delivering conferences and events in a comparable venue.
  • A thorough understanding of the work of a conference and events department.
  • Familiarity with a hotel and event management software package, preferably Kx Conferencing or similar.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people, both face to face and over the telephone; together with excellent customer service skills.
  • IT literate with a thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • GCSEs (minimum) at Grade 5 in Maths or English, or equivalent.
  • Good organisational and numeracy skills.

DETAILS OF THE ROLE

The post of Conference and Events Coordinator is a permanent, full-time, office-based role.

Hours of work are 36.25 hours per week with an unpaid 30-minute lunch break. The annual salary is £28,903 per annum for 36.25 hours per week (Step 36 on the College Salary Scale). In addition to the salary, we offer an attractive benefits package.
