Job Description We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Conference and Events Executive to join our dynamic team in Sofitel Brisbane Central. As a key member of our Sales and Marketing team, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing exceptional conferences and events that exceed client expectations. In this role, you will collaborate with Sales and operational teams to ensure memorable and unique guest experiences while maximising sales and revenue for the hotel. You are professional and knowledgeable about the product, the local area and the luxury experience, and you are well connected and can build strong relationships and bonds with your clients. What you will be doing: Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and develop customised event proposals Manage all aspects of event planning, including venue selection,coordination, and logistics Create and maintain detailed event timelines, budgets, and schedules Coordinate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of events Develop and nurture relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure venue suitability and compliance with client requirements Analyse post-event feedback and prepare comprehensive reports Stay up-to-date with industry trends and innovative event concepts Contribute to the development of marketing strategies to attract new clients and retain. Qualifications What you will bring to the role: Proven experience in conference and event planning, preferably in a luxury brand or high-end hospitality setting Strong sales skills with a track record of driving inquiries and securing new business Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and time management abilities Proficiency in event management software and tools Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to providing exceptional service Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure Goal-oriented with a drive to meet and exceed targets Outstanding personal presentation and professional demeanor Knowledge of hospitality industry trends and best practices Strong budgeting and financial management skills Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred) Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
