The Position To maximise revenue and profitability from conference, meetings and events by proactively selling and managing the sales team. This role is responsible for managing the conference and events sales department. What you’ll do Proactively drive Conference and Events sales to achieve the annual targets for the venue. Responsible for managing all aspects of the reactive sales team and create and implement an effective sales and marketing plan in association with the Head of Sales and in line with agreed budgets Yield business opportunities to increase revenues and deliver the sales strategy Ensure the highest standards of accurate and timely customer, staff and management information Manage and motivate sales executives’ short term and long-term Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) Prepare accurate forecasts and reports on event revenue and performance Monitor event budgets, profitability and payment schedules Maintain up to date CRM database with client information and sales activities Ensure all sales administration is accomplished effectively and accurately within industry timelines to secure the business Manage the handover process to the coordination manager ensuring a seamless customer experience Ensure operational excellence in service standards through close work with the C&E Coordination Manager Well-connected within the industry with knowledge of industry trends and full understanding of our competitors Be aware and adhere with statutory, legal and company requirements for: Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, Licensing Laws, Employments Laws, Fire Regulations, Sales of Goods / Trade Description Carry out other duties and responsibilities of a similar nature to those described above, which may be allocated from time to time. The Person The successful candidate will have the following experience / skills / qualities: Essential: Be a positive and inspirational manager, sharing ideas and participating in team spirit Min 3-5 years’ experience in Conference and Event sales Strong Sales, negotiation and relationship management Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal abilities Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under pressure Strong team management skills Strong financial and commercial awareness Proficient in Microsoft office and CRM system Desirable: Salesforce, Conga and Cvent Delphi knowledge Competitive salary and commission (up to 30% bonus opportunity) 5% Club Bonus Scheme 25 days holiday Non-Contributory Pension scheme / Private Health Care Membership for domestic games, Tickets for International Games and loads more To Apply Please apply with a CV and cover letter outlining why you are suitable for this role and stating current salary.
