We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Conference and Banqueting manager to join the senior management team of our client, a 5-star hotel in Kildare.
You must have previous experience as a Conference & Banqueting manager or an assistant level in a 4 or 5-star hotel property and have excellent team management, organisation and communication skills.
As manager you will manage the F&B banqueting operation, ensuring excellent guest service standards and compliance with all regulations and requirements. This is a key event management role with responsibility for a large number of team members.

Responsibilities
  • Recruiting, training, motivating, directing and supervising the banqueting department team.
  • Managing the day-to day staffing requirements of the department in line with business needs. Planning and assigning work, establish team members’ individual work and development goals and mentor, coach and provide feedback.
  • Conduct monthly departmental meetings, providing communication and obtaining feedback.
  • Establish and achieve quality and guest satisfaction goals.
  • Ensure C&B and F&B areas and facilities are properly presented and stocked, liaising with the maintenance team regarding maintenance requirements.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to any guest complaints.
  • Prepare payroll and finance reports, banquet checks etc. and ensure all financial transactions are handled securely.
  • Prepare the annual department operating budget and financial plans with other senior management members and control departmental expenses focusing on food, beverage and labour costs.
  • Conduct proper food and beverage inventory process.
  • Ensure proper care, maintenance and security of hotel equipment.
  • Coordinate timings of service for functions with the Banquet Chef, managers and supervisors to ensure success.
