Conference & Events Manager - NT Cluster
A Conference and Events Manager - NT Cluster with Hilton Hotels and Resorts leads and manages both team and commercial performance of the event sales and event planning teams who proactively drive the commercial success of our 4 Northern Territory hotels.

Responsibilities

Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Maximise all Conference and Event commercial opportunities
  • Review business plans, identify gaps and ensure proactive efforts to fill capacity and meet commercial targets
  • Strategically contribute to the commercial strategy of the hotels, and manage the departments’ adherence to achieving that strategy
  • Understand the competitive marketplace and implement approaches to ensure the hotel stays ahead in the local market
  • Ensure that the teams actively account manage the hotels regular event clients
  • Lead the conference and events teams effectively and support culture of high-quality team and commercial standards, including but not limited to relationship building, exceptional customer service, and profit focus.
  • Lead and develop the Event Sales Team to ensure career progression and effective succession planning within the hotel and company
  • Support and organise hotel promotional activitie

  • Demonstrated experience in a Conference and Events Sales function in the hotel / leisure sector
  • Strong analytical skills to understand key business indicators and competitive trends and develop approaches to these challenges
  • Excellent sales and conversion capability and an ability and desire to coach selling techniques to the team and measure success
  • Excellent planning and organising skills
  • Ability to accept responsibility and is resilient in the face of setbacks
  • Ability to work under pressure and deliver results
  • Flexibility to respond to a range of differnet work situation
