Description:

INTRODUCTION:

We are seeking an experienced Conference Producer to join the high performing team on our well established and growing industry event Energy Exchange Australia (formerly AOG Energy). The Conference Producer will create and deliver cutting-edge conference programs, build industry relationships to deliver strong speaker line-ups and establish a relevant and innovative agenda.
The role is suited to someone looking to apply their research, analytical, relationship building and project management skills to deliver the conference program, content management, production, speaker management and execution of the Energy Exchange Australia conference program.
You will oversee and be responsible for the research and development of industry leading conference content, from start to finish. You will work collaboratively with the Organising Committee and lead in-depth market research to identify future event topics. Internally you will work closely with the Product, Sales, Marketing and Operations teams while project managing the Conference agenda.
Held annually in Perth, Energy Exchange Australia is a meeting place for thousands of professionals to connect, learn, network, and harness opportunities in the Australian energy market, driving us to a decarbonised future. The four Conference streams attract over 3,500 attendees over 3 days.

DESCRIPTION:

Research important industry topics and keep up to date with industry trends to ensure streams of content are relevant to our audience.
Utilise research and customer insights to enhance conference programs.
Identify and recruit appropriate speakers through research, networking, to achieve high-quality industry figures who will be able to chair theatres and moderate panel discussions.
Support the Commercial Product Manager in determining and executing development strategies that involves conference content plans.
Communicate and engage effectively with senior-level stakeholders and partners.
Liaise with sponsors and key stakeholders regarding the speakers they are providing as part of their packages to ensure the required quality of these speakers and assist with market alignment.
Manage speaker registrations, presentations, production and onsite requirements.
Work closely with Marketing to assist in the development of content for the website, email and social media platforms that relates to the Conference.
Support Sales & Marketing to develop relationships and identify influential industry associations and other possible partners.
Proofreading and making necessary amendments to conference programs on all printed literature and online materials.
Work with Delivery team to manage the onsite program delivery and production requirements.
Work with the content, marketing, and sales teams to identify opportunities for further growth and consider the development of new conference formats & identify potential add-ons to provide additional revenue opportunities.
Attend relevant events to keep abreast of trends and challenges in the energy industry.
Work with Commercial Product Manager and marketing to provide a 365 Engagement strategy, including online content, webinars, & Quarterly Newsletters.
Providing relevant and timely Reports and analysis to the Head of Product.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on time.
Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and can work with both clients and stakeholders.
Strong IT skills. You will be using content management systems, databases and email software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – written and verbal.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks and priorities to meet deadlines.
Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and manage unexpected issues that may arise.
Thoughtful and creative when planning the delegate onsite experience.
Prior experience conducting research or demonstrated ability to research, understand and analyse industry trends.
Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, topics, and emerging issues for content creation and conference programming.
Capacity to quickly understand a market, its challenges and opportunities and create content accordingly.
Experience working with senior external stakeholders and industry leaders.
Proficient communication and engagement skills with senior-level stakeholders and partners.
Ability to negotiate, influence and persuade key decision-makers.
3-5 years experience in a conference production role, desirable.
Experience related to the energy sector would be advantageous.
Monitor and analyse content performance, using metrics and feedback to continually improve future initiatives
