Description

The Conference Sales Manager plays a pivotal role in driving the hotel’s conference and event business. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this hands-on position is responsible for proactively sourcing, securing, and managing conference and group bookings to maximize revenue. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hospitality sales, a proven track record of achieving targets, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of three (3) years of sales and event experience in the hospitality industry
  • Strong customer service and communication skills

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain business opportunities through proactive and reactive sales efforts;
  • Actively manage group, transient, and corporate (BT) sales inquiries and contracts;
  • Process, qualify, confirm, and coordinate group and banquet requests
  • Coordinate groups from the moment the contract is signed until the group’s departure (rooms, food, accommodations, etc.).
  • Oversee the operational aspects of the sales cycle, including proposals, contracts, correspondence, and reporting;
  • Collaborate closely with Urgo Hotels’ regional team to maximize business opportunities;
  • Create and analyze sales reports and develop strategies to grow occupancy, RevPAR, and market share;
  • Contribute to the revenue management process through active participation in the revenue committee, weekly forecasts, and performance analysis;
  • Ensure guest satisfaction during and after service delivery;
  • Manage the financial and material resources, including budget preparation, cost control, and inventory management.
