GENERAL SKILLS AND DESCRIPTION:
High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
At least one year catering sales and convention services experience preferred. CI/TY or other Marriott sales systems experience a plus.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
Must be able to meet required deadlines; complete projects in a timely manner.
Most tasks are performed in a team environment. There is minimal direct supervision.
Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Must be able to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups to managers, clients, customers, and ownership.
Must be able to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and other applicable computer systems. Budgetary analysis capabilities required.
Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Manage, coordinate and execute group assignments turned over by the Sales Department. Monitor all contractual agreements pertaining to guest room blocks, meeting space, food and beverage and special concessions. Effectively communicate to all hotel departments the information necessary to successfully execute the group’s needs while maintaining a good client relationship.
