Description
SAIC seeks a highly energetic Configuration Analyst to directly support the modernization of the space launch ranges, meeting mission requirements, providing range capabilities, and supporting the Assured Access to Space (AATS) mission. The overarching purpose of this program is to perform system modernization and digital transformation projects that will enable the acceleration of the space launch cadence to enable the Spaceport of the future. In support of the government customer, the SAIC Program Manager, and the Chief Engineer; the Configuration Analyst is responsible for product design changes and the effects of the overall system. Assist in documenting and tracking all aspects of system development and modifications. Ensures configuration identification by reviewing design release documents for completeness and proper authorizations. This position is in Vandenberg, CA. Job Responsibilities: Reviews all issued document change requests, document change notices and associated drawings for accuracy, completeness, and proper signatures. Structures and maintains databases. Submits engineering changes to customers for review and approval; maintains records and submit reports regarding status. Prepares configuration verification audit record sheets for all programs. Receives assignments in the form of objectives and establishes goals to meet objectives. Provides guidance to subordinates to achieve goals in accordance with established policies. Establishes and recommends changes to policies, which affect subordinate organization(s). Develops technical solutions to complex problems, which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. Required Education: Bachelor’s degree and five (5) years or more of experience; Master’s degree and three (3) years or more of experience. Experience in lieu of a formal degree will be considered. Desired Experience: Managing configurations of geographically dispersed large-scale 24/7 operational systems. Experience Modernizing systems in a DoD environment. Education, Training and Certifications. Security Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Clearance.
