Configuration and Data Management Officer About the role The Configuration and Data Management Officer plays a key role in supporting the delivery of engineering outcomes across the Air Traffic Management (ATM) Program. You will provide Configuration Management (CM) and data/document management services across projects, ensuring technical and project data, documentation and media are accurately controlled, traceable and compliant with organisational and regulatory requirements. Working closely with engineering and project stakeholders, you will support configuration baselines, change control, audits and review boards, while ensuring data integrity across the CM toolset and document management systems. As part of your specific responsibilities, you will: Configuration Management Implement and maintain CM processes aligned with the Saab Global Management System. Identify, establish and manage engineering baselines within CM toolsets. Support Engineering Review Boards and Configuration Control Boards, including tracking and managing outcomes. Register, track and report configuration changes across work products. Participate in physical configuration audits and associated reviews. Develop and maintain system and product breakdown structures in consultation with engineering stakeholders. Prepare and issue Configuration Status Accounting Reports (CSARs). Data Management Receive, register, control and distribute supplier and customer technical data, documentation and media. Coordinate acceptance of technical data for use with relevant Project Engineering Managers. Control the distribution of approved project documentation and records. File, index, retrieve and archive records in line with program requirements. Support software releases through preparation of configuration and status accounts. Ensure compliance with legislation, company policies, WHS, IT acceptable use and quality management systems. About you Your skills and experience will include: Minimum 5 years’ experience in Defence or Air Traffic Management environments (desirable). Understanding of Configuration Management standards (EIA-649C desirable). Exposure to ASDEFCON templates and contracting frameworks (desirable). Experience using CM tools, engineering data management systems or PLM solutions. Strong stakeholder engagement and internal customer liaison skills. High computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with SharePoint or document management systems. Ability to work independently, manage priorities and develop CM processes with minimal supervision. Qualification: Industry-recognised Configuration and Data Management training or equivalent experience. Tertiary qualification in a related discipline (desirable) Personal Attributes Demonstrates behaviours aligned with company values. Able to work under pressure while maintaining wellbeing.
