Description

The Configuration and Data Specialist III works in the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool to ensure data accuracy, consistency and configuration is maintained across all systems. This position has wide exposure to a diverse set of stakeholders and works closely with the production and engineering teams.

Responsibilities
  • Identifies Configured Items and when they should be Baselined in accordance with International Standards (EIA-649C).
  • Controls project technical and non-technical documentation through the creation of configured Baselines.
  • Ensures document and part level configuration is maintained throughout the entire design, build and test lifecycle. This is accomplished by reviewing and controlling technical information.
  • Maintains data accuracy and integrity within the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) toolsets working with the person responsible for importing, manipulating and resolving data issues.
  • Processes Problem Reports for post baseline Configuration change and design iteration updates.
  • Liaises with external customers and production departments to resolve issues.
  • Maintains the Bill of Material within the PLM tool, imports data and resolves issues.
  • Review and exports data from PLM tool, creates and maintains various Configuration Status Accounting reports.
  • Creates and maintains Enterprise Change Notifications in the PLM tool after change approval.
  • Administers the Stop Work process, preventing rework in production and procurement.
  • Performs Functional and Physical Configuration Audits.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of new concepts and techniques.
  • Supports training for external and internal users on PLM tools.
  • Performs additional duties as required.
