We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic Configuration Management (CM) Analyst with a desire to grow while working with a skilled and highly motivated team on leading-edge work. Our team provides IT services for systems engineering and information management systems to multiple major DoD programs. This position provides support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division, which is located in King George, VA, and is available immediately. Our customer’s framework continues to evolve. Evaluating, learning, and integrating new technologies will be a constant factor in this position. The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Perform Configuration Management/Data Management functions: planning, configuration identification, configuration control, status accounting, audits, and data management
  • Act as the Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) Build Change Control Board (BCCB) Secretariat while supporting the SSDS BCCB meetings
  • Create BCCB agenda, work with Software Support Activity (SSA) on reviews of each agenda, annotate notes, create BCCB meeting minutes, and capture/maintain action items
  • Maintain data records and libraries with updated status accounting information
  • Track documents/changes through a review process and capture comments
  • Represent the CM team at program meetings, ensuring that CM concerns are communicated and impacts to CM are tracked and resolved
  • Work closely with Lead System Engineer (LSE) and Project Lead to identify and address CM actions related to Systems Engineering Technical Review (SETR) milestone progression. Develop and maintain CM processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Provide Status Reports / Metrics utilizing MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and other tools
  • Maintain file repositories and workflows in online repositories (such as SharePoint, VIEWNet, iPDM, Jira, etc.)

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of CM principles, methods, and techniques.
  • 1-3 years of previous CM experience
  • Highly proficient with MS Office tools, primarily MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to effectively communicate across all organizational levels to include co-workers, managers, and government customers
  • Ability to remain flexible with changing timelines and last-minute updates
  • Ability to multitask, work well independently, and in a team environment
  • Self-starter with strong technical skills and attention to detail, with an emphasis on accuracy
  • Ability to write clear, logically sequenced, and grammatically correct documents

CONTINGENT WORK ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • U.S. citizen with currently active Interim Secret security clearance (or higher)
