SUMMARY:

Agile Defense is an award-winning and growing company with an immediate need for a skilled and energetic Configuration Manager supporting Department of State (DoS), Diplomatic Security (DS). The Configuration Manager will support the Chief Technology Office (CTO) evaluating policy and technology challenges. The Configuration Manager presents all new (or updated) products to an IT change control board for approval and must be comfortable conducting research on changelogs, product features, hardware specs, and comparing them against customer requirements and policy.

EDUCATION, BACKGROUND, AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years of experience.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Strong requirements elicitation and process modeling skills are critical.
  • Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills across all levels (users, stakeholders, leadership, and IT).
  • Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Microsoft or equivalent job experience.
  • Understand the application of security standards to application configurations.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Prior law enforcement experience. Preferably DOS agencies (CTO, CTS, IRM, CA) but state and local also acceptable.
  • System experience with DevSecOps
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure services
  • CompTIA Security Certification

Responsibilities
  • Define Configuration Management requirements and policies
  • Develop, document and maintain in the Standards Process and Procedures Manual
  • Configuration Management procedures that meet requirements and adhere to defined policies
  • Enter/upload configuration data into configuration database
  • Establish process interfaces to Incident and Problem Management, Change Management, technical support, maintenance and Asset Management processes
  • Establish guidelines for physical and logical separation between development, test and production and the process for deploying and back-out of configuration items
  • Develop procedures for establishing configuration baselines as reference points for rebuilds, and provide ability to revert to stable configuration states
  • Provide DS Configuration Management reports as required and defined by DS
  • Provide administrative support to the DS Information Technology Review Board (DS ITRB)
  • Work with DS customers to define and validate IT requirements
  • Guide and assist DS customers to complete required change request documents
  • Coordinate DS ITRB meetings and present change requests to the Board
  • Prepares the Agenda and Minutes for the DS ITRB meetings
  • Submits Change Requests to the Department of State level review board and serves as customer advocate
