Responsibilities & Qualifications We are seeking a Senior Configuration Management Specialist to join our Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) team. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience Ten (10) years of relevant experience Experience leading or supervising a team of configuration management specialists Expert, first-hand knowledge of the development and maintenance of DLMS or ASC X12 Implementation Conventions using EDIFECS SpecBuilder software Certification Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority. Clearance Secret - IT-II Non-Critical Sensitive Clearance Tier 3 (T3) investigation. RESPONSIBILITIES Leads or supervises a team of configuration management specialists and serves as the Configuration Management (CM) Lead or Subject Matter Expert (SME). Provides configuration baseline control throughout the lifecycle of highly complex information systems, including component software and hardware elements. Facilitates and advises the DLA Configuration Control Steering Group (CCSG) and Configuration Control Working Groups (CCWG). Maintains allocated, functional, and physical baseline control and performs audit support. Reviews all engineering change requests to assess impacts on the configuration baseline and logistics support elements. Maintains configuration control records and technical documentation. Works closely with quality assurance and management representatives to ensure an accurate and well-documented product baseline. Prepares directives for change authorization and implementation.
