Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Configuration Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining the configuration management (CM) environment, policy and procedure guidelines, CM planning, reporting and audits for the related projects. The Configuration Manager also ensures project related data is created and maintained within a strong governance and consistent process across the Company.
As Configuration Manager, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:
- Create and maintain Configuration Management Plans (CMP) and all processes pertaining to CM;
- Creating, performing and monitoring CM deliverables such as MRI, CSAR and BSC;
- Producing and monitoring management reports;
- Plan and execute CM throughout the project lifecycle, including product development;
- Establish, maintain, monitor and report contractually required or internally directed baselines (e.g. functional, allocated, and product baselines) with appropriate Engineering documentation and Standards;
- Establish, review, oversee and update configuration management processes, including end to end Change Process;
- Consult and coach project teams;
- Supporting of internal and external customers by responding to queries relating to any of the responsibilities outlined above; and
- Conduct Configuration Control Board/s (CCB) and other working groups to include coordination with board members, writing appropriate board directives, and tracking action items.
The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
- Experience in Configuration Management and Change Management;
- Experience in Defence contract Configuration Management;
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office and PDM systems;
- Strong all round IT skills including Microsoft Office Suite to (advanced);
- Target-focused, structured and independent working approach, analytical mind and reasoning;
- Team player, strong attention to detail and good interpersonal skills;
- Willing to travel when required.; and
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain a Baseline Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship)
