RSC2 is seeking a Configuration Manager to support MDSS and programs at PD SAI in Aberdeen, MD. This role is critical to maintaining the integrity, traceability, and readiness of mission systems delivered to the U.S. Army. The Configuration Manager will own and execute the configuration management lifecycle for software, system configurations, and associated technical artifacts supporting MDSS development, integration, test, and fielding activities. The role ensures that all system baselines are controlled, auditable, and aligned with Army program requirements. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Own and manage configuration baselines across development, integration, test, and operational environments supporting MDSS mission systems. Plan, coordinate, and control release activities including software builds, system configurations, patches, security updates, and integration drops. Establish and maintain configuration control processes for code, system configurations, documentation, and interfaces in accordance with program CM plans and Army standards. Serve as the central authority for version control, build integrity, and release traceability across lab, Test & Integration (T&I), and government test events. Support and participate in Change Control Boards (CCBs), managing change requests, impact assessments, and baseline updates. Work collaboratively with developers, systems engineers, testers, cybersecurity, and platform teams to support build and test environment setup and sustainment. Identify, manage, and mitigate configuration and release risks impacting scope, schedule, integration readiness, or baseline integrity Measure and monitor progress to ensure system builds and releases are delivered on schedule and meet program, test, and operational expectations Communicate all key configuration plans, release commitments, baseline changes, and impacts to program leadership and government counterparts Conduct Release Readiness Reviews, Configuration Status Accounting reviews, and support Government Go/No-Go decisions for integration and test events Produce and maintain Deployment, Integration, and Implementation Plans supporting lab, test, and operational environments Develop or maintain scripts, tools, and automation to support build, integration, baseline creation, and deployment activities across environments Requirements: Active TS/SCI clearance Bachelor’s degree 8 years of related Configuration Management experience Hands-on experience implementing Configuration Management policies, plans, and procedures in a regulated or mission-focused environment Familiarity with audit processes, system change documentation, and compliance verification against approved CM plans Experience supporting Agile or SAFe development environments (preferred, not required) Experience managing change control of Configuration Items (CIs), including participation in review boards, processing change requests, and supporting CCBs Strong technical, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, including interaction with government stakeholders Hands-on proficiency with Jira and Confluence for configuration tracking and documentation Comfortable with limited travel (approximately 10%) Desired Environment Experience: DoD or Army acquisition programs Mission systems, ISR, or sensor-based platforms Multi-contractor integration environments Lab-to-field transition workflows Work Location: Aberdeen, MD Employment Type: Full-time, Salary-Exempt Benefits Package: We offer a top-tier benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, PTO, employer matching retirement plan, and more! Salary at RSC2 is determined by various factors including but not limited to location, the particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $94,000 to $224,000 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical total compensation range for this position.
