Description

Position Title: Configuration Manager Location: Remote (In the U.S) Other Considerations: U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Required)  This position is contingent upon contract award. POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a Configuration Manager to be responsible for managing the configuration and release management processes for software applications for a key program with the Department of Veterans Affairs. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure that configurations are effectively controlled and align with the company's strategic objectives. This requires a proactive individual with a passion for process optimization and quality assurance. RESPONSIBILITIES * Develop and maintain configuration management processes and procedures * Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope * Ensure configurations are accurately documented and maintained * Oversee the release management process and ensure timely delivery of software updates * Coordinate with development teams to implement configuration changes * Maintain version control and ensure traceability of configurations QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field * 3+ years of experience in configuration management or a related role * Oversee Quality Assurance of all Requests for Change (RFCs) and similar change documents at all stages of the system and software development cycle * Lead the development and maintenance of baselines and configuration control procedures * Conduct change and configuration management at the enterprise, program, project and segment levels for systems, services, and capabilities developed using traditional and agile methods * Identify and implement opportunities in terms of process and tools to execute CM in a more agile and efficient manner WORKING CONDITIONS Standard Business hours are Monday through Friday. Occasional extended or weekend hours may be required based on operational needs.
