JOB SUMMARY

A Team Leader at CDW UK is responsible for leading, driving, developing and supporting a team, within a fast paced, highly dynamic environment. High standards are required to ensure our products are received by our customers’ right first time, on time. Team leaders will be accountable for ensuring processes are followed, reviewed, improved and amended where possible. Working alongside the team to drive results, engage and motivate, and support and develop a team of highly professional Coworkers

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience leading a team
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, preferably including: Excel, Outlook and Word
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer and sales facing with the ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with both
  • Ability to ensure that the Health and Safety and housekeeping standards are kept to the highest possible level at all times
  • Experience with assuring quality standards are met at all times
  • An understanding of how the department affects other CDW departments and customers

Responsibilities:

  • To lead and drive a team of skilled Coworkers, responsible for the motivation and morale of that team
  • Leading from the front, working alongside Coworkers to show best practice and champion organised and efficient working
  • Support the allocation of workload, ensuring Co-ordinators are always aware of priorities and urgent requirements
  • Help with Scheduling project work to ensure correct expectations are set and timescales are met
  • Ensuring housekeeping standards are kept to a high level at all times
  • Responsible for ensuring a team within the NDC is at all times working in a cost effective and efficient manner
  • Helping to ensure accurate and efficient processes are created and followed
  • Ensuring that the Department and Team are continuously developed and promoted in line with the company’s vision for the future
  • Working closely with other NDC Team leaders to help ensure all required items and orders enter and exit the department in full and efficiently
  • Establishing and maintaining excellent internal and external service levels whilst constantly identifying improvements areas
  • Investigation and remediation of issues and process failures, the priority being customer expectations
  • Identifying skills gaps and reporting them to the shift Supervisor and Development team, working to ensure gaps are filled and training is completed and signed off according to the defined processes
  • To support the wider team by stepping into various different roles at times, driving your development also.
  • Able to cover reporting of KPIS in absence of Supervisor
  • Understand and able to apply all processes regarding WMVs
