This role can be based in San Francisco or New York. https://www.mofo.com/offices ABOUT THE ROLE The Conflicts Analyst applies detailed knowledge of professional methods to produce, review, and analyze conflict of interest reports. Ensures client service and satisfaction are attained in all areas of the position. Produce and review conflict reports using the Firm’s conflicts software and identify potential conflicts issues. Conduct research to support conflicts analysis, including matter status, entity roles, prior waivers, and corporate affiliate relationships using internal and external resources. Independently analyze conflict reports with limited guidance from Conflicts Coordinators. Summarize findings and submit analyses to attorneys and secretaries through the Firm’s electronic workflow system. Create ethical walls as requested and appropriate. Assist with maintaining waiver and engagement letter records, including monitoring databases and creating engagement letter flags. Retrieve and distribute waiver letters to attorneys upon request. ABOUT YOU One year of conflicts, legal assistant, or comparable law firm experience in a decision-making capacity required; familiarity with law firm conflicts systems and Microsoft Word preferred. Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills, with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to learn and apply conflict of interest principles, exercise sound judgment, and handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work overtime as needed.
