Job Description Identify, benchmark, budget, support target setting, and manage tools (eVOS, MCM, etc.) to track cost reduction activities and projects aligned to technical cost reduction targets Present regional results overview, with breakdown by subsystem Generate ideas, assess initial engineering feasibility, and perform benchmarking to reduce material costs without compromising quality or customer experience Collaborate with global counterparts to maximize cross-regional technical proposals and initiatives Benchmarking, Standardization & Idea Generation Support Metafunction Teams in Design-to-Cost during upfront development Assist PC&CO in engaging suppliers and stakeholders with a focus on value optimization Lead benchmarking and standardization activities across Metafunctions (A2MAC reviews, Part/System reviews) Support vehicle hoist/teardown benchmarking reviews Coordinate and lead idea generation activities (supplier submissions, engineering submissions, benchmarking, internal workshops) Conduct initial evaluation of new ideas, including feasibility and competitive benchmarking analysis Initiatives, Budget & Tools Provide Metafunction budget needs for Global Finance (COO) approval Manage and optimize tools supporting Value Optimization (VO) activities across all regions Establish and standardize methods, processes, and tools Track and report VO KPIs (status vs. targets) Ensure compliance with Internal Control System rules Support cost engineering and benchmarking for system/component ideas Ensure VO-driven design changes meet performance requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s in Engineering or Manufacturing (ABET accredited) or equivalent experience in design, release, or processing roles Proven experience developing EDD, variable, and/or tooling costs for automotive components Experience with systems/component architecture and hardware across: Body Components Interior Components Chassis Components Electrical Components Propulsion Systems Battery Components Engine/Transmission/ePT Components HVAC & Engine Systems Preferred Experience: Previous design and release background Full product life cycle exposure Activity-based costing and/or quoting Proficiency with NX and Teamcenter Lean product development experience Skills & Knowledge: Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and oral) High proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking) Ability to analyze design/processes to identify cost savings opportunities Strong negotiation skills Knowledge of Shainin Red X or other reactive quality tools Knowledge in Design for Six Sigma or other proactive quality tools Additional Information All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
