Les membres de l’équipe Développement des affaires de Mitacs constituent le lien entre le milieu postsecondaire et le secteur privé. Nous aidons les entreprises, les organismes sans but lucratif et d’autres organisations à résoudre leurs défis de R-D en développant des partenariats avec le monde postsecondaire et en utilisant les talents de classe mondiale des établissements d’enseignement canadiens. Nous sommes à l’avant-scène pour faire connaître aux entreprises, au corps professoral et à la communauté étudiante les programmes de Mitacs.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Mitacs Business Development team members are the bridge between academia and industry. We help businesses, not-for-profit organizations, and other organizations solve their R&D challenges by building partnerships with academia and using world-class talent from Canadian academic institutions. We are at the forefront of marketing Mitacs programs to businesses, professors, and students.

    Hiring Range: $71,200 - $84,550
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with members of Mitacs Business Development, Research, and Programs teams to deliver high‐quality programming
  • Work closely with stakeholders at Université de Montréal (including at MILA) to fully understand the needs of the researchers and students, find industry opportunities, and identify the best programs to leverage the research opportunities uncovered
  • Create and maintain a network of partners/clients in industry and academia
  • Introduce companies and not-for-profit organizations of the Region of Montreal to various Mitacs programs
  • Introduce companies to various university researchers
  • Provide support to the Business Development team as needed
  • Provide business development support to all Mitacs programs as needed
  • Work collaboratively with institutional offices involved in the administration of Mitacs programs such as the Research and Innovation Office, the Office of Research Services, the Office of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies, Co-operative Education and Career Services, and the Centre for International Programs to:
  • ensure clarity of roles of the various parties involved in Mitacs administration
  • plan strategically and operationally means by which to increase participation in Mitacs programs
  • assist in negotiating the necessary agreements to facilitate discussions and collaborations with industry partners
