SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Have a keen interest in artificial intelligence and in developing business relationships with stakeholders in the AI ecosystem in Quebec and Canada
  • Master’s or PhD, or an equivalent combination of education and research experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Enthusiastic and high‐energy self‐starter spirit
  • Team player spirit
  • Ability to think creatively and try new things
  • Desire to pursue a career outside of research and academia
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-performance culture
  • Knowledge of written and spoken French and English is required in this role as you will be interacting with colleagues, clients and stakeholders across Canada.
    Special consideration will be given to applicants with an active social network with proven ability to promote participation and sponsorship in programs or initiatives in their community.
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with a Senior Advisor (Artificial Intelligence) to find collaborative innovation project opportunities in the sector within Quebec
  • Be responsible for at least one AI-focused university department in Montreal to build bridges between their professors and students as well as external organizations
  • Provide support to applicants during the application process
  • Create and maintain a network of partners in the private and public Artificial Intelligence sectors in Quebec
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including some academic researchers, representatives of technology transfer organizations, industry organizations and partner companies
  • Building new partnerships for Mitacs
  • Provide business development support to all Mitacs programs as needed by clients
