HE ANGITŪTANGA: THE OPPORTUNITY

It’s an exciting time to be part of Auckland Council’s Natural Environment Group.
As environmental awareness and protection continues to grow across Tāmaki Makaurau, we’ve invested in a broad suite of programmes ranging from pest plant and pest animal control, kauri protection and increasing support for community-led conservation action.
We are looking for an experienced Conservation Advisor to join our Northern Delivery team within the Environmental Services Department.
From Tapora to Te Arai, and Muriwai to Campbells Bay, the North Delivery team works collaboratively with mana whenua, community conservation groups, and private landowners to increase indigenous biodiversity and reduce the environmental impacts of invasive pests.
You will be leading integrated indigenous ecosystem protection, species management, and invasive species control projects. You will provide advice and support to elected members, mana whenua, landowners, and community conservation groups, to protect, restore and enhance Auckland’s natural environment.
