Boater’s World Marine Centers is seeking a driven Consignment Sales Consultant whose primary focus is bringing boats into the dealership, not standing on the showroom floor waiting for walk-in buyers. This is a proactive, outbound-driven role centered on outreach, follow-up, and relationship building with boat owners looking to sell. This is not a passive sales position. Why This Role Stands Out High-activity, outbound sales role ideal for candidates from inside sales, outside sales, hospitality, call center, or collections backgrounds Commission-driven earning opportunity with strong upside Primary focus on sourcing and securing consignment inventory — a critical function of the dealership Constant flow of conversations with sellers and buyers; no two days are the same Support from an established marine dealership with strong brand recognition and year-round demand Clear expectations, structured processes, and a team that supports execution What You’ll Be Doing Seller Outreach & Consignment Acquisition Serve as the primary point of contact for boat owners interested in consigning boats, trailers, and related marine equipment Proactively reach out to prospective sellers through outbound calls, inbound leads, email follow-ups, and in-person conversations Clearly explain the consignment process, pricing strategy, timelines, and expectations Build urgency and maintain momentum to move sellers from interest to signed consignment agreements Manage a high-volume pipeline of seller conversations and opportunities Deal Management & Pipeline Execution Track leads from first contact through intake and sale Maintain consistent follow-up to prevent deals from stalling Coordinate with internal sales and management teams on pricing and strategy Support buyers and sellers through the transaction process once inventory is onboarded Inventory Coordination & Organization Evaluate incoming consignment units and assist with pricing, condition notes, and market positioning Ensure inventory details are accurate, complete, and entered correctly into dealership systems Monitor inventory status across multiple active listings and stages Customer Experience & Administrative Accuracy Deliver a professional, responsive experience to both sellers and buyers Answer questions confidently and resolve issues quickly Ensure all contracts, documentation, and records are completed accurately and in compliance with dealership standards Team Collaboration Work closely with sales, service, and leadership teams to support dealership growth goals Contribute to a high-energy, execution-focused team environment Requirements Who We’re Looking For Experience & Background Experience in high-volume sales, inside sales, outside sales, hospitality, call centers, collections, or commission-based roles Comfortable with outbound outreach, follow-up, and pipeline management Marine, automotive, RV, equipment, or consignment experience is a plus, but not required Skills & Traits High energy, self-motivated, and comfortable making frequent outbound calls Strong communication, persuasion, and relationship-building skills Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deals simultaneously Goal-driven and motivated by commission-based earnings Comfortable using CRM systems, inventory tools, and Microsoft Office Strong sense of urgency, accountability, and follow-through Education High school diploma or equivalent required Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus About Us Boater’s World Marine Centers is part of a growing marine dealership network with a strong retail presence and long-term growth strategy.
