Salary: £24,570 - £30,000 full time equivalent depending on experience; pro-rata for 3 days (22.5 hours) per week to start.
Length of Contract: Fixed-term contract basis for 12 months initially with intent to renew; six month probationary period

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, driven, and organised individual to support our campaigning in the Tiverton & Minehead constituency in the run-up to local elections in 2027 and the subsequent General Election.
Alongside our Campaign Team and Regional Campaign Manager, this role will see you working right at the heart of local politics. You’ll be part of an ambitious team determined to ‘put more gold on the map’, helping to advance both constituency and council campaigns by working closely with councillors, candidates, volunteers, and our MP Rachel Gilmour to deliver campaigns on the ground and to develop and grow our team.

Responsibilities

Supporting our Campaign Team, taking the lead arranging and delivering canvass, delivery, and clerical sessions, according to our campaign plan
Being a prompt conduit for information, connecting campaign leads with volunteers
Leading and managing volunteers to assist in delivering elements of the campaign plan
Supporting and contributing to the development of the campaign plan, and monitoring and reporting back on its delivery
Leading in planning and delivering on the recruitment of new members and volunteers
Leading engagement efforts to keep supporters informed of events, campaigns & fundraising, including coordination of phone banking
Keeping immaculate records and databases
Planning, organising and leading/assisting with member and volunteer training and development
Co-ordinating between the Local Party Executive, Constituency Campaign Team, Lib Dem HQ/Regional staff, Councillors, MP, and MP’s office as appropriate
Assisting with the design, production, printing, management & distribution of literature
Please note that it is expected that the Constituency Organiser will need to work some evenings and weekends by agreement.
