We’re looking for a Construction Administrator to support construction projects in our Alachua office. If you enjoy overseeing construction administration activities, reviewing project documents for compliance, working closely with project teams and clients, and helping move projects from construction through close-out, this role could be a great fit. Key Responsibilities Oversee the construction administration phase of projects in accordance with the Jones Edmunds Construction Administration Manual. Review construction plans, specifications, cost data, and other contract documents to identify errors, omissions, code violations, design problems, and compliance issues. Administer construction contracts and manage construction activity documentation. Travel to construction sites for observation, evaluation, problem solving, and progress meetings. Evaluate and analyze costs and prepare cost estimates. Participate in the preparation of construction project plans and documentation. Identify project issues, evaluate options, and implement appropriate solutions. Communicate regularly with the Project Manager regarding project activities and progress relative to scope and deliverables. Develop presentations for client staff regarding findings, changes, and other project information. Initiate document revisions and project reviews, process change orders in coordination with the Project Manager/Engineer of Record, identify deficiencies and unfinished work, and prepare punch lists and close-out procedures. Participate in post-construction services and investigations. Support quality assurance and quality control activities in accordance with the Jones Edmunds Quality Program and client standards. Facilitate communication between clients, contractors, and internal staff. Observe and train Field Representatives. Ensure Jones Edmunds complies with safety policies and regulations. Experience & Qualifications Education: BS in Engineering, Construction, or related field from an accredited college or university. Four years of directly related experience may be substituted for a degree. Experience: Minimum 5+ years of progressive construction administration or related experience. An AS in a related field may be substituted for 1 year of experience. Other: Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR. Why Join Jones Edmunds?
