CONSTRUCTION ASSESSOR

Location: Hartlepool, North East England (National Coverage)
Salary: £31.000 - £33.000 per annum (Depending on experience) + Learner Completion fee
Contract Type: Full Time
Are you an experienced construction professional looking to take the next step in your career? We’re seeking a qualified and motivated Construction NVQ Assessor to support and assess learners working towards their NVQ qualifications in the construction sector.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

As a Construction NVQ Assessor, you will assess learners in the workplace, supporting them through their NVQ (Levels 2-6 depending on your experience), ensuring their skills meet the standards set by the awarding body. You’ll work with candidates across a range of construction occupations (e.g., Bricklaying, Carpentry, Site Supervision, Plant Operations, etc.).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Carry out on-site assessments and observations of candidates
• Guide learners through the NVQ process, ensuring clear understanding of evidence requirements
• Collect and assess evidence against NVQ standards using a structured and supportive approach
• Maintain accurate assessment records using digital e-portfolio and paper systems
• Plan and review learner progress, adapting support to meet individual needs
• Liaise with employers to support learner success and manage assessment scheduling
• Ensure all assessments are conducted in line with current awarding body and internal quality assurance standards
