Description QUALIFIED CANDIDATES IDENTIFIED Job Title: Construction Assistant Company: Carter Hill Homes, LLC Department: Field Operations Reports to: Senior Construction Administrator Job Type: Seasonal Temporary Part-Time Work Hours: Vary: Monday-Friday Effective Date: 5/4/2026 Exemption Status: Nonexempt Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour Role Summary: The Construction Assistant position will assist superintendents by performing work that require minimal experience or specialized skills. Supervisory Responsibilities: n/a Essential Functions: Prepares homes for walk-throughs Assists with preparing for inspections Assists with inventory management Performs check-ins on inventory progress Assists with opening and closing homes Miscellaneous work that management assigns Minimum Required Education/Credentials/Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be at least 16 years of age Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs+ Must speak and understand English Must be able to follow directions closely Must have a valid, active DL Must be able to drive and provide transportation to and from job sites Must be able to work 8 -16 hours per week on average Work Environment/Physical Requirements: Work Environment: Interpersonal Relationships: Must be able to communicate with superintendents and others and listen to detailed instructions. Physical Work Conditions: Working on construction sites. Exposure to noise, weather extremes, and hazardous equipment is common. Physical Demands: Activity Levels: Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and occasional climbing or bending Sensory Abilities: Need to see details up close and at a distance, understand speech, and speak clearly Environmental Exposure: Exposure to fumes, particles, and loud noise levels. Often work outdoors in varying weather conditions Physical Fitness: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally exert up to 80 pounds of minimal force to carry, lift, push, pull, and otherwise move objects. Must be able to climb ladders and use other means to reach and observe all areas of the building. Must be able to work in various weather conditions -- heat, rain, cold, etc.
Responsibilities
The Construction Assistant supports superintendents by preparing homes for walk-throughs and inspections. They are also responsible for inventory management and general site tasks as assigned by management.
