Founded in 2007, today, B2Gold has operating gold mines in Mali, Namibia and the Philippines, the Goose Project under construction in northern Canada, and numerous development and exploration projects in various countries including Mali, Colombia and Finland.

DESIRED COMPETENCIES AND REQUIREMENTS

• Three (3) years of post-qualification industry experience, preferably in an isolated remote setting with limited access to parts and resources;
• Interprovincial Red Seal (or Nunavut CoQ) as Sheet Metal Worker;
• Knowledge of foam panel and thermal framing building methods preferred; and
• Previous experience in mining, heavy industry or construction is required.

• Sorting out Cladding, placing isolation and cladding on buildings using specialty seam sealing;
• Read and interpret engineering and architectural drawings, blueprints, and work specifications to determine installation and construction procedures;
• Lay out, measure and mark sheet metal according to drawings or templates to construct and install panels using hand and/or power tools;
• Operate shears, brakes, punches, and drill press equipment to cut, bend, drill, shape or straighten sheet metal;
• Fit and join sheet metal parts using riveting, welding, soldering and similar equipment to fabricate products;
• Install and repair sheet metal products to specifications and building codes;
• Liaise with Construction and Project teams to inform them of work to be completed; and
• Follow and promote B2Gold Nunavut’s safety policies and procedures. Partake in daily toolbox talks.
