Safety Management Group is seeking a local Construction Coordinator in Boston, Massachusetts. The key function is to put safety at the forefront of their job, prioritize the client’s needs, work well in a team setting, be self-managed, and be flexible when it comes to change and travel. Overview of Job Responsibilities: Schedule and coordinate construction work activities; issue work permits and ensure work is executed safely and according to project requirements. Coordinate contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with site safety policies, procedures, and OSHA regulations. Conduct jobsite inspections and identify unsafe conditions, behaviors, and potential hazards. Facilitate safety meetings, pre-task planning sessions, and contractor orientations. Track and follow up on corrective actions, safety observations, incidents, and compliance issues. Serve as the primary liaison between construction, safety, and project teams to communicate expectations and resolve field issues. Requirements Construction/Management Degree or equivalent experience 5+ years of construction project management experience Effective organizational and communication skills Construction cost estimating and scheduling experience Proficient in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) Proficient in MS Project (ability to create, update, and manage schedules) Ability to work weekends and provide evening coverage Experience managing civil and mechanical construction projects Physical Demands of the job may include: Moving about long distances Ascending/Descending stairs and ladders Remaining in a stationary position for a prolonged period Working in extreme weather Being exposed to loud noises Wearing personal protective gear correctly Join an elite group of Safety Professionals!
