ICMS is looking for an experienced Construction Cost Estimator. This individual is responsible for developing independent government cost estimates for long term projects and current maintenance, repair, alteration, and construction projects. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide cost analysis, cost review, and prepare and validate independent cost estimates (IGCEs). Perform market studies; system/material availability and feasibility. Work in conjunction with contacting officer and the site management team, to assist in determining the merit of changes, the negotiation and settlement strategy and participate in negotiations. Prepare estimates for program and project budgeting and planning. Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates are generally expected to be within+/- 20% of negotiated prices. Provide estimating support services during the strategic planning, mission analysis and project development phase. Requirements · Four-year Bachelor's Degree is desired in construction management, engineering or related field or equivalent combination of technical training and/or experience. · Minimum of 3 years construction cost estimating experience. · Experience preparing detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates from drawings/specifications · Familiarity with design-bid-build and/or design-build project delivery methods · Experience working on commercial, institutional, industrial, or government projects · Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. · Strong attention to detail and accuracy in pricing. Additional Qualifying Factors: · As a condition of employment, it will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results. Security Clearance: It is mandatory that all Contractor personnel working onsite at federal facilities meet federal government security clearance standards. Minimum investigation at a Public Trust level required. Employment Type: Full-time Citizenship requirement: U.S. Citizenship Location: Laurel, MD (may need to visit Washington DC location and Fort Meade, MD) Salary: $75,000 – $105,000/year *This is a contingent hire position based upon the award of contract.
