DELIVERY DRIVER

B&B Contracting Group is seeking a dedicated Delivery Driver to join our growing company.
The Delivery Driver at B&B Contracting Group plays a key role in supporting field operations by safely transporting tools, materials, and equipment to and from active construction sites throughout the Lower Mainland. This position requires strong time management, safe driving practices, and clear communication with site personnel to ensure timely and accurate deliveries in dynamic jobsite conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a 1-ton flat deck truck to pick up and deliver materials, tools, and small equipment between worksites, suppliers, and the yard.
  • Load and unload items safely, ensuring proper securing of materials to prevent damage or shifting during transport.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues or required maintenance promptly.
  • Navigate active job sites safely, maintaining awareness of workers, equipment, and obstacles.
  • Communicate with site forepersons and office staff to coordinate deliveries and respond to last-minute requests or schedule changes.
  • Adhere to WorkSafeBC safety regulations, traffic control procedures, and all posted signage when entering or exiting jobsites.
  • Maintain accurate daily driving logs, fuel reports, and inspection forms.
  • Use digital or physical maps and trip-planning tools to optimize routes and ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License with a clean driver’s abstract over the last 12 months.
  • Heavy Trailer Endorsement considered an asset, but not required.
  • Commercial driving experience within the Lower Mainland is an asset.
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly and professionally with site staff, suppliers, and office personnel.
  • Physically capable of lifting and moving up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
  • Reliable, punctual, and adaptable with the ability to make decisions and adjust routes in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather and site conditions.
