OVERVIEW

Are you a Construction Exec looking for your next Gig? Madly hunting down a Director of Construction who is highly skilled in handling multiple project sites from inception to completion! This pivotal role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in construction management, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of construction processes, regulations, and best practices, along with exceptional leadership capabilities.

·Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education degree or diploma in a construction related area of study with a minimum of 20 years direct project mgt. preferably in the high-rise space.
  • The successful candidate will have advanced Quality and Risk Mgt experience.
  • Solid construction practices and techniques, procurement, construction documents, contracts and contract law, Cost Control, Forecasting & Project Cost Reporting and Scheduling & Constructability.
  • Proven experience in leading project teams to deliver projects on time and on budget.
  • Ability to lead multiple teams with strong conflict management and coaching skills.
  • Workforce Planning
  • Financial acume
Responsibilities
  • Oversee all phases of construction projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Oversee all client contracts and relationships and act as main point of contact for escalated client issues or contract disputes. Ensure the review of contract documents with project participants to ensure terms are clear on deliverables, which will ensure project work will be completed on time and within budget.
  • Consistently liaise with the Field Ops Teams to ensure projects are advancing on time and budget.
  • Continually provide guidance to Project Managers to support site challenges.
  • Be the Lead for Weekly Meetings to set objective for weekly milestones to be met.
  • Establish and maintain strong and effective relationship with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Provide all required reporting including financial updates and projections.
  • Assist Proposal Teams on upcoming projects as well as managing RFP’s and Tendering of Projects.
  • Maintain top notch relationships with Owners, Designers, Consultants and Contractors.
