CAD Designer (m/f/d).
Hug Engineering GmbH is the German subsidiary of Hug Engineering AG, a globally operating manufacturer of exhaust gas purification systems for large engines in mobile and stationary applications. Our applications range from small yachts with an engine output of 200 kW to large power plant engines with 20 MW. We also develop innovative systems specifically tailored to the use of alternative fuels such as methanol, hydrogen, and ammonia.

Your responsibilities:
- Technical responsibility for the mechanical design of exhaust aftertreatment systems
- Creation of project-specific layout, release, and manufacturing drawings
- Main contact person for CAD support in local projects
- Regular collaboration with steel construction suppliers
- Technical support for sales, project management, purchasing, quality assurance, and service
- Initiation and management of development projects as well as active participation in project teams
- Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and guidelines (UL, ASME, AWS, DIN, EN, ISO, ...)
- Participation in product development and product standardization measures
- Support in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Hazard and Functionality Analysis (HAZOP)
What sets you apart:
- Successfully completed studies in mechanical engineering/design or comparable qualification
- At least five years of professional experience as a CAD designer
- Proficient use of 3D CAD software for mechanical design; Experience with Autodesk Inventor is an advantage
- Familiarity with PDM/PLM and structured bill of materials management
- Relevant experience in steel construction, especially welded structures
- High degree of independence and reliability
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Hands-on mentality as well as a structured and methodical approach
- Excellent written and spoken German and English skills; Italian or Dutch are an advantage.
