About the job
In this exciting role you are responsible for coordinating and monitoring the full scope on permit procedures for New Store Opening and Major remodel / rebuild projects of McDonald’s Belgium, and ensure that building permits are introduced in accordance with McDonald’s Global specifications.
Key responsibilities will include:
- You coordinate and ensure the submission of the necessary building permits, using your experience to successfully navigate the process;
- Working together with different architects, external partners and your Real Estate
colleagues to ensure all required government approvals and construction permits are obtained in a timely manner;
- Coordinating completion of architectural and design drawings and specifications requirements;
- Administrative follow-up of ongoing permit procedures;
- Inspecting and monitoring construction progress according the received building permit;
- Following-up on budget management on invoices by architects and experts;
- Functioning as SPOC for day to day contact with architects, construction managers and real estate representatives on permit related issues;
- Working side by side with internal and external stakeholders;
- You work in an organized and results-oriented manner;
About you now
To be able to thrive in this role, we believe you need to master:
- At least a Master’s Degree in civil/industrial Engineering / Architecture / Master in Urbanism and Spatial Planning / Interior Architecture;
- Bachelor Architecture or Interior Architecture;
- 3 to 5 years’ experience as Construction Engineer / Project Manager / Project Architect;
- A-Z Project Management skills and demonstrating ownership;
- Fluency in Dutch and French and a good level in English;
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills;
- Excellent assertive communication and presentation skills;
- Thinking agility;
- You know how to combine independence and teamwork;
- Knowledge of the ‘environmental platform’ (Omgevingsloket) is not unknown to you;
- Advanced proficiency with desktop applications (e.g. MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Project & Work Management platform as Monday or Smartsheet .
