ABOUT NIIK:

Our company is growing and is hiring an experienced Construction Engineer / Project Coordinator (reporting to the PMO Director) to join our team. The position will be based in North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experienced in structural steel industry
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, and/or Project Management or related field
  • Proven experience as a project coordinator, estimator, or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials
  • Proficiency in various construction management software (e.g., ProCore)
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and construction documents
  • Experience with estimating and bidding process
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage structural steel projects from start to finish
  • Coordinate and communicate with project managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors
  • Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop project plans and specifications.
  • Utilize software tools such as Tekla, AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam for design and drafting tasks.
  • Develop project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resources
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to schedule and budget
  • Perform site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation related to project status and engineering designs.
  • Review project designs, drawings, plans, and specifications
  • Collaborate with Niik Steel stakeholders to ensure project success
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during fabrication and installation
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records
