Core Responsibilities Drive and develop construction design and execution principles at construction sites in collaboration with global factory colleagues. Own, develop, and maintain effective construction principles to ensure successful execution. Integrate sustainability principles into our construction practices and incorporate our learnings into established standards. Engage with internal stakeholders and consulting engineers from design firms to manage design principles and address specific construction-related and architectural details. Support local and global construction project teams in the design and decision-making processes, including conducting trade-off analyses. Facilitate the exploration and implementation of new technologies and solutions within LEGO’s standards and projects. Play your part in our team succeeding Engineering Design & Sustainability is part of Global Workplace Projects where we are responsible for large scale construction projects and other utility-related projects. We lead the technical aspects e.g., construction concepts, MEP subject areas, building management systems and fire safety. We develop, maintain and innovate our global standards and apply them in projects worldwide. The team consists of 30+ people (mainly engineers), with a broad diversity in functional fields and experience. The team supports both operations and projects at all sites globally. In the role as construction engineer, you will participate in a broad range of construction projects globally, where you will play your part in ensuring that we deliver factories expansions projects on time and in right quality, and that we take sustainable decisions Do you have what it takes? Demonstrated experience in construction projects as a consultant, contractor, client advisor, or in a similar role. Proven track record in project execution, including effective oversight of structural solutions. Strong stakeholder engagement skills, both internally and externally. Familiarity with structural design practices and innovative solutions. Experience working in an international organization (e.g., university or employment), adept at navigating diverse cultures and countries. Extensive experience in both structural and non-structural detailing, as well as the design, detailing, and execution of industrial concrete. Willingness to travel 20-40 days per year.
