Job Description: Provides guidance to employees within the latitude of established policies. Establishes procedures that affect immediate organization. Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including understanding of current business trends. Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. May have budget responsibilities. Erroneous decision or failure to achieve results adds to costs and may impact short-term goals of organization. Oversees the administration of projects during the construction cycle including technical, financial, and client satisfaction. Accountable for the development, coordination, and execution of the planning, design and/or construction management activities and personnel under individual's direction on a day-to-day Performing the duties of a Construction Manager, including, but not limited to: Roadway construction inspection, quantity calculations, checking grade and alignment, labor compliance interviews, traffic control review, and assuring compliance with project plans and specifications. Identifying actual and potential problems associated with the construction projects. Work and recommend sound engineering solutions in a timely manner. Maintaining an awareness of safety and health requirements and assuring. Compliance with applicable regulations and construction contract provisions for the protection of the public and construction project personnel. Preparing quantity calculations, records, reports, and correspondence related to construction project activities. Assisting in the preparation of final As-Built plans and reports at the completion of construction. Performing and assisting in all aspects of required office construction engineering work including setting up and maintaining project files, processing required documents and progress payments, as necessary. Performing the Inspection and compliance monitoring of Storm Water Pollution. Prevention Plans (SWPPP)/Best Management Practices (BMP). Qualifications Minimum Requirements: BA/BS + 10 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership. Driving is required for this position. Preferred Qualifications: CalTrans CM/GC Experience as a Resident Engineer. Large infrastructure experience in Road and Bridge construction. PE in the state of California. Additional Information Relocation is not available for this position. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
