As we take on larger and more complex projects, we’re looking for a Construction Estimator who can accurately analyze project requirements, prepare detailed estimates, and support our team in securing and executing successful builds.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of estimating experience in industrial or commercial construction
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and industry pricing
• Proficient in estimating software such as Bluebeam Revu, PlanSwift, STACK, or HeavyBid
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and document formatting
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management
• Strong communication skills for working with vendors, subcontractors, and team members
• Post-secondary education in construction management, engineering, or a related field is an asset

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As a Construction Estimator, you’ll be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates based on project drawings, specifications, and site conditions. You’ll work closely with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to support our bidding process and ongoing cost analysis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and documents to prepare detailed estimates
• Prepare quantity takeoffs for materials, labour, equipment, and sub-trades
• Solicit and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
• Create cost breakdowns, proposals, and bid submissions
• Support the project management team with budgeting and change order pricing
• Maintain historical cost data and estimating templates
• Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings when required
